The holiday season is not only a wonderful time for receiving gifts and celebrating with family and friends, but it is also a great time for companies and individuals alike to give back to their communities.
This year, BizIQ is pleased to have partnered with the Phoenix, Arizona chapter of St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance to collect much needed canned goods and toiletries to benefit families in need across the city. Through the generous initiative of Senior Account Manager Lisa McLarty, our team managed to collect over 330 pounds of food over the holidays. With each pound of food equalling aproximately one complete meal, that’s over 330 meals that will be distributed throughout our own community!

St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is known as the world’s first food bank. Founded in 1967 by John van Hengel, the idea for the food bank first came about when Mr. van Hengel was volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul, serving dinner to individuals in need. It has since grown into one of the largest food banks in the country, as well as one of the most well-loved charitable institutions.
